You do not have to join PayPal to buy the Guide. On the first PayPal page, which comes after the Secure eBook page that you will get when you click on the Pay for eBook button below, click on the Continue link on the bottom left of the page to pay with a credit card.

At the end of the payment process, click on the Return to Merchant link, circled in the example below, and you will receive your Activation Key and instructions on how to download the Guide.
