The Norwegian
Cruising Guide is a guide book rather than a book of sailing directions—a
well-organized resource that will help you plan your cruise, decide which
harbours and anchorages to visit, and enable you to plan activities that
will add to your enjoyment of this wonderful country.
We also realize that sailing directions, especially with aerial photographs and sketch maps, make it easier and safer to enter unfamiliar places, and so we are excited to announce that we have teamed with the Norwegian published pilot Havneguiden.
Norwegian Cruising Guide for cruise planning.- Havneguiden for detailed harbour entry instructions.
- Norwegian Cruising Guide for destination information and things to do.
- Havneguiden for entry charts and aerial photographs.
- Norwegian Cruising Guide for harbour and area photographs.
Each entry in Havneguiden includes a sketch map and an aerial photograph, as well as general and nautical information. Though, with the exception of volume 4, which is in English and Norwegian, the text is in Norwegian, the maps and photographs make it a very useful publication even for those who don’t read Norwegian.
You can view all of the Havneguiden content for free, making it, in conjunction with the Norwegian Cruising Guide, a great resource for planning your cruise of Norway.
Havneguiden will be available from this site in June and is available from marine stores throughout Scandinavia.
